The world's largest south subtropical botanical garden, South China National Botanical Garden, was inaugurated in Guangzhou City on July 11. Dedicated to plant conservation and scientific research, it is the home to more than 17,000 species of ex situ conservation plants, among which 643 are endangered botanic species.
