Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Xinjiang Museum on Wednesday during his inspection tour to Urumqi, capital of northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Established in 1959 with a total area of 49,600 square meters, the museum has a vast collection of 25,000 pieces of cultural relics and specimens, and its collection of national first-class cultural relics accounts for about 60 percent of the total number in Xinjiang.
