Mexico has arrested Caro Quintero, an alleged drug kingpin on the U.S. FBI's 10 most-wanted list who is accused of ordering the kidnap, torture and murder of Drug Enforcement Administration special agent Enrique "Kiki" Camarena in 1985, the Mexican Navy said on Friday.

The United States will seek the immediate extradition of Quintero, U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland said following the arrest.
