U.S. panel probing Capitol attack to ask Secret Service about text deletion

The U.S. House select committee investigating the January 6 Capitol insurrection has subpoenaed the U.S. Secret Service for records over accusations of deleted text messages. This is the first time that the committee has publicly announced a subpoena issued to an Executive Branch agency, Reuters has reported.
