China's first self-developed shallow-water subsea Christmas tree system was successfully put into operation on Sunday in the Jinzhou waters of the Bohai Sea. The tree system, which weighs 55 tonnes and consists of more than 2,500 parts, performs the function of safely isolating oil reservoirs and ensuring the safety of underground operations.
