The World Health Organization says sub-variants of Omicron, like BA.4 and BA.5, continue to drive waves of cases of COVID-19, hospitalization and death around the world. Dr. Alice Hyun-Kyung, a doctor of Internal Medicine at MizMedi Women's Hospital in Seoul, says that BA.5 strain is the most adept at evading immunity from previous infections and vaccinations.
