South Korean Foreign Minister Park Jin, on his first official visit to Japan after taking office, held a meeting and dinner with Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi on Monday in Tokyo.

During the talks, Park said the South Korean government will make efforts to draw "a reasonable solution" to the dispute over the issue of wartime forced labor, and the two sides shared the view that the issue needs to be promptly resolved, the South Korean Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
