The State Emergency Service of Ukraine said on Monday that the city of Toretsk in the Donetsk region was shelled and a two-story building in which people were staying was destroyed.
Rescuers recovered the bodies of five people, and one of the three people rescued from the rubble was confirmed dead in the hospital, it added.
