Ukraine officially completed the ratification of the "Council of Europe Convention on preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence," also known as the Istanbul Convention, handing over the relevant documents to the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe Bjorn Berge, Ukrainian National News Agency reported on Monday.

According to the Council of Europe, the Convention will enter into force for Ukraine on November 1, 2022.
