Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismissed Volodymyr Horbenko, deputy head of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Ukrinform news agency reported on Tuesday.
Horbenko was appointed to the post in November 2019.
On July 17, Zelenskyy dismissed Ivan Bakanov from the position of head of the SBU, and the Ukrainian parliament on Tuesday passed the removal.
Meanwhile, SBU heads in five regions have been replaced, respectively in Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, Zakarpattia and Dnipropetrovsk.
According to Ukrinform, Ukraine's parliament on Tuesday also backed a request from Zelenskyy to fire the Prosecutor General Iryna Venediktova.
