China and the European Union have agreed to make joint efforts to promote economic and trade cooperation and jointly cope with the challenges facing the global economy. The statement was made via video link during a High-Level Economic and Trade Dialogue, co-chaired by Chinese Vice Premier Liu He and Executive Vice President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis. The two sides discussed macroeconomics, industrial and supply chains, trade and investment, and financial cooperation during the meeting.
