Chinese athlete Feng Bin clinched the gold medal during the women's discus throw final with 69.12 meters during the ongoing World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, U.S., on Wednesday.

It was Feng's personal best, ahead of Sandra Perkovic of Croatia (68.45 meters) and American Valarie Allman (68.30 meters), who finished second and third respectively.

China's Liu Shiying, gold medalist at Tokyo Olympics, eased into the women's javelin throw final.

Behind Japanese athlete Haruka Kitaguchi's 64.32 meters, Liu ranked second in the qualifying event at 63.86 meters, which was her season's best result.

Liveta Jasiunaite of Lithuania finished third at 63.80 meters.

Another Chinese player Lyu Huihui finished 16th at 57.59 meters.
