China's Feng Bin claimed the women's discus throw title at the World Athletics Championships in the city of Eugene, Oregon state, the U.S. on Wednesday.

Feng managed a personal best of 69.12 meters in her first attempt, which went unchallenged by other throwers.

Two-time Olympic champion Sandra Perkovic from Croatia took silver in 68.45m and reigning Olympic champion Valarie Allman of the United States settled for bronze in 68.30m.
