The European Union is asking member states to immediately cut their gas usage. It's prompted by concerns that Russia could turn off the EU's supplies. Brussels is suggesting a voluntary 15 percent cut in gas use until March next year. But it warns that those targets could become mandatory if the energy crisis worsens.
