Since the pandemic hit, attacks on Asian Americans have been on the rise in the U.S. This vicious circle of racial hatred stoked by politicians entered a new phase with the COVID-19 epidemic, getting to the point where some members of the Asian American community locked themselves in their homes, more fearful of attacks than contagion.
