Black Sea grain export to operate in safe corridor in weeks: RIA
CGTN

The passage of ships with grain cargoes will resume in the Black Sea in the coming weeks as guarantees have been received to establish a safe corridor, RIA News Agency reported on Friday, citing a source familiar with the negotiations in Istanbul.

The source also warned that violating agreements on the "grain issue" would lead to disaster, and the parties understood this.

"We hope so in the coming weeks," the source said, answering a question about when the launch of the corridor is planned. Black Sea ports have been blockaded as a result of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

When asked whether guarantees were received from the parties involved, the source answered in the affirmative. "Received," he said.
