China has repeatedly said that it opposes attempts by any force to interfere in China's internal affairs on the Taiwan question. However, Japan's new defense report spends even more passages on Taiwan than last year's document. Rong Ying, vice president of the China Institute of International Studies, says Japan wants to justify the change of its security strategy and raise its defense budget.
