Another wildfire has brought chaos to central California, and in a quick time. Some 1,600 acres of forestry were destroyed within a few hours of the oak fire being spotted at 2 p.m. local time on July 22 near the community of Midpines in Mariposa County. The blaze has prompted evacuations and road closures and has now reached the Sierra National Forest. A local television station reported that emergency crews had received reports of people trapped inside their homes, and firefighters rushed to rescue them. Located north of Fresno, this is the third wildfire in Mariposa County in just two weeks.
