In an address to the nation on Friday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the grain export agreement signed separately by Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul "fully meets the interests of Ukraine," adding that it will enable Ukraine to export 20 million tonnes of last year's grain harvest and part of this year's harvest.
Earlier in the day, Russia and Ukraine had separately signed a deal with Türkiye and the United Nations to resume grain shipments from Ukrainian ports to international markets via the Black Sea.
