The 2nd China International Consumer Products Expo (Hainan Expo) will run from July 25 to 30 in Haikou, the capital city of China's southernmost Hainan Province.

The exhibition area will expand to 100,000 square meters this year, hosting more than 2,800 local and international brands. Meanwhile, over 100 events will be held on the sidelines of the expo.

The international exhibition area will take up 80 percent of the total exhibition area, with more than 1,600 brands from 61 countries and regions participating. The domestic exhibition area will make up the rest of the space, with 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities across the country confirmed to participate.

This year's expo stands out for three reasons. First, it will focus more on premium consumer products and bring together more global leading brands. Second, there will be more product debuts with more than 200 brands due to showcase over 600 new products.

Exhibitor categories include electronics, cars, yachts, watches, jewelry, high-end wine and health products.

Sideline activities will be an important part of the expo. The 2nd Global Consumption Innovation & Duty-Free and Travel Retail Conference will be held on July 26. It will bring together leading consumer brands and consulting firms for the purpose of developing consumption innovation.

Moreover, reports on high-end consumption and tourism will be published during the expo, including reports on China’s luxury goods market, Hainan Free Trade Port tourism and post-pandemic consumption trends.
