Since the onset of the Russia-Ukraine conflict in February, a number of European countries have joined the U.S. in sanctioning Russian energy with astonishing speed and solidarity, but at the cost of facing an energy crisis much more difficult than that which the U.S. has to deal with. In the grand scheme of things, has the U.S. kept its transatlantic allies' best interests in mind?
