The U.S. has been hyping up China's alleged debt-trap diplomacy. However, it is the U.S. that ruins the development foundation and debt-paying ability of developing countries and coerces them to obey U.S. financial rules through its monetary policies and dominance, getting them into the U.S. debt trap.
