EU extends sanctions against Russia for 6 months

The European Union (EU) has decided to extend sanctions against Russia for six months, according to a statement from the European Council published on Tuesday.
These sanctions, first introduced in 2014, included restrictions on finance, energy, technology and dual-use goods, industry, transport and luxury goods.
