French oysters make a splash on Chinese dining tables

French oysters are proving to be a winner at Chinese dining tables, with demand rising steadily thanks to the changing lifestyle and the country's consumption upgrade. Oyster shipments from France to China have risen threefold in the last two decades to more than 2,000 tons by the end of 2020. With both countries sharing a rich culinary culture, China is increasingly being perceived as an ideal marketplace for French gastronomic products.
