Pujiang County in China's Zhejiang Province is known as the "origin of domesticated rice." It said ancient Chinese started planting rice in the area now home to the Shangshan Archaeological Park in Pujiang. The earliest evidence of domesticated rice and human settlement in the Neolithic Era was found at the site. So, Pujiang is also known as the first village of ancient Chinese civilization.
