Japan is renowned globally for its skilled artisans, but many traditional crafts have been fading away as the population ages. One manufacturing district in Tokyo, however, is drawing in the younger generation of artisans and consumers, fostering new ideas and a new kind of creative community or biome where art can continue to thrive in everyday life.
