The Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is an intergovernmental organization that comprises eight states bordering or straddling the Asian and European continents. Teng Jianqun, a research fellow at the China Institute of International Studies, says SCO member states will focus on regional stability and economic cooperation, especially in the context of the pandemic and the Ukraine conflict.
