Officials of Hainan Province spoke highly of CGTN's coverage of the second China International Consumer Products Expo, the Hainan Expo, on Thursday, acknowledging CGTN's efforts in reporting and commending CGTN's booth at the expo.

Shen Xiaoming, secretary of the Communist Party of China Hainan provincial committee, thanked CGTN's journalists who covered the expo for their diverse content and multi-media reporting.

"I hope we can make joint efforts to make a splendid expo with support and attention from the media," said Feng Fei, the governor of Hainan.

CGTN sent over 200 staff to report the expo with immersive technologies and platforms, such as livestreaming, short videos, audio and interviews. The coverage has been well-received domestically and overseas.

The second China International Consumer Products Expo started on Monday in Haikou City, south China's Hainan Province.

The expo features an exhibition area of 100,000 square meters, hosting more than 2,800 local and international brands. The international exhibition area takes up 80 percent of the space, with more than 1,600 brands from 61 countries and regions participating.

The expo will run through July 30.
