Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said China will deepen cooperation with Kazakhstan during a meeting with Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mukhtar Tileuberdi in Tashkent on Thursday.  

China will center on the development of the Belt and Road Initiative and strengthen economic and trade cooperation between the two countries, Wang said. China is willing to promote investment cooperation and prioritize on launching more livelihood projects in Kazakhstan, he added.

Tileuberdi praised China-Kazakhstan strategic partnership and said Kazakhstan will implement the important consensus between the presidents of both countries. Kazakhstan is willing to work with China to usher in another 30 golden years in bilateral ties. He added Kazakhstan has issued a 14-day visa-free access for Chinese citizens to further facilitate communication between the two countries. 

Both sides are committed to maintaining the stability of the production and supply chain in Eurasia and the smooth operation of China-Europe trains, to address the challenges of global food and energy security. 

The two sides spoke highly of the function and prospect of the "China+Central Asia" (C+C5) cooperation mechanism. Both sides will implement the consensus of the virtual summit between the C+C5 heads of state, and focus on priority areas such as transportation, agriculture, energy, economy and trade, and investment.
