The first batch of China's green fin puffer fish to be bred in captivity has passed the on-site production test in Xiapu County, southeast China's Fujian Province. The first official artificial breeding environment for the green fin puffer fish, the county harvested about 1.5 million fish this year. The green fin puffer fish got its name from its green second dorsal, anal, and caudal fins and is one of the primary income earners fisherfolk in China.
