The Ninth International Congress of Chinese Mathematicians, or ICCM, is being held in Nanjing, east China's Jiangsu Province. For the first time, the ICCM awarded the Mathematics Contribution Award. The honor was given to renowned Chinese mathematician Lo Yang.
