One person was killed and five others were injured in a District of Columbia (D.C.) shooting on Monday night, the Metropolitan Police Department Chief Robert Contee told a press conference, according to NBC Washington. 

The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. in the 1500 block of F Street.

"Multiple victims" were reported in a shooting in Washington D.C., the D.C. Police Department said via Twitter earlier on Monday.
