The U.S. government has not only been double-dealing on its "Taiwan independence" game but also doubling down, especially since the beginning of this year. It has sold weapons to the region, allowed top officials to visit the island and even once deleted "Taiwan is part of China" from its official website. The U.S. today just pays lip service to its claimed one-China policy.
