During her bird-watching trip in southwest China's Yunnan Province in mid-July, amateur photographer Fang Qiaoran recorded four birds of prey species on camera.

They include common kestrel, black-winged kite, black eagle and mountain hawk-eagle.
Birds of prey or predatory birds hunt and feed on other vertebrates. They are known for their flying speed, keen eyesight, strong claws and powerful beaks. Such birds include eagles, falcons, ospreys, owls and buzzards.
Common kestrel belongs to the kestrel group of the falcon family, while black-winged kite, black eagle and mountain hawk-eagle all belong to the eagle family.
