Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly announced on Tuesday that Canada will impose additional sanctions on 43 military officials and 17 entities that "are complicit" in Russia's "special military operation" in Ukraine.

Earlier in the day, the U.S. Department of the Treasury said in a statement that it had imposed a new round of sanctions on 13 individuals and more than 30 entities that "operate in economic sectors that generate substantial revenue for the Russian regime."
