The United States did not offer to resume negotiations with Russia on a treaty to replace the Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START III), Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Wednesday, according to RIA.

"As for negotiations on a possible new treaty after the START III expiration, two rounds of negotiations took place last year, after which the American side took a break. There were no appeals to us regarding the resumption of the negotiation process," Lavrov said at a press conference following talks with Myanmar's Foreign Minister U Wunna Maung Lwin.
