On August 3, François Nkuna Balumuene, ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Congo to China, told CGTN during an interview, "The Taiwan question is totally China's internal affair. The constitutions of both the People's Republic of China and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) stipulate the principle of non-aggression and non-interference in other's internal affairs. We hope that this matter can be properly handled as soon as possible, especially through internal solutions in China."
He said that "since the normalization of relations between the DRC and China 50 years ago, the DRC has been adhering to the "one-China principle," which should also be observed by all countries in the world," including the U.S.
