The first Beijing Animation Festival (BJAF) lifted its curtain on Thursday in Beijing.

Covering more than 20 channels and mainstream network platforms nationwide, the BJAF will host eight major sections, including the launching ceremony, Animation Forum, Animation Exhibition, Animation Screening, Animation Market, Animation Talent, Special Projects, and Closing Events.
The festival will continue until next Tuesday.
Here is a brief introduction to several sections of the BJAF.

Looking back at a hundred years of Chinese animation, "The Monkey King," "Baby Tadpoles Look for Their Mother," and other classic animation masterpieces have influenced several generations of Chinese people.
Through the creators' manuscripts, stills, works, and derivatives works, the Chinese Animation Centennial Exhibition leads visitors to revisit the growth of Chinese animation over the past 100 years, vividly showing the behind-the-scenes and on-stage aspects of the animation centennial.

The Animation talent section aims to promote the high-quality development of domestic animation by inviting top animation universities, animation professionals, outstanding animation directors, and producers to give lectures and exchanges. The animation talent section will also hold "animation education lecture," "animation creation master class," "original animation workshop," and other activities.
Screening event of the BJAF
The first Beijing Animation Week screening event has already kicked off in mid-July and will end on August 14.
Through theaters, TV channels, and network screening channels, 15 animated films, 30 animated series, and more than 200 animated short films will be screened in a 30-day screening cycle. Many outstanding animations such as "The Prince of Ceylon's Journey to the East," "Pet Hotel," "Wool Wool Town," and "Octonuts Season 6" will be widely screened online and offline so that children and animation lovers can enjoy excellent animations and enjoy a summer vacation nourished by animation culture together.
