Bayern Munich crushed Eintracht Frankfurt 6-1 in the Bundesliga season opener on Friday.
Five different players took responsibility to kick off Bayern's campaign for an 11th consecutive Bundesliga title positively, following the departure of prolific striker Robert Lewandowski for Barcelona this summer.
"The first half was outstanding I must say," Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann said, as the first five goals were scored in a span of 38 minutes before halftime.
In Nagelsmann's newly implemented 4-2-2-2 system, all the Bavarians' attacking forces seemed to head for new shores.
Elsewhere on Friday, Arsenal battled to beat Crystal Palace 2-0 as the new Premier League season got underway. Gabriel Martinelli scored the first goal before home defender Marc Guehi turned the ball into his own net late on at Selhurst Park.
