China blasts Japan, U.S., Australia over criticism of military drills

China's military exercises around its Taiwan island are open, transparent, and professional, said the Chinese Embassy in Japan while condemning the joint statement issued by the U.S., Japan and Australia.

The Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a joint statement by the foreign ministers of Japan, the United States and Australia, opposing China's military exercises in the waters near Taiwan island and accusing China of launching missiles that fell into the so-called "Japan's Exclusive Economic Zone."

"We solemnly urge the Japanese side not to play the political trick of 'using Taiwan to control China' and not to continue on the erroneous path,”mentioned the Chinese embassy in Tokyo in a statement on Saturday.
