Expert: Robust fundamentals keep FDI appetite intact in H1

China's foreign direct investment (FDI) saw robust growth during the first six months of the year, despite a slowing of economic activities in the second quarter. China's further opening up to foreign investors, its diversified trading options and the long-term growth potential continued to be a magnet for more FDI to flow into the country, said Zhou Mi, a senior research fellow at the Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation under the Commerce Ministry. Investment interest was particularly high in China’s hi-tech and manufacturing sectors, said Zhou.
