The Panama-flagged Navistar with Ukrainian grain reached the designated location in the north of Istanbul and is anchored, the Turkish defense ministry said on Saturday.
Navistar, carrying 33,000 tonnes of corn, is going from Ukraine to Ireland. It left the Ukrainian port of Odesa on Friday, along with two other ships - the Maltese-flagged Rojen, carrying 13,000 tonnes of corn that departed from Chornomorsk port, bound for Britain, and the Turkish-flagged ship Polarnet that also set off from Chornomorsk for the Turkish Black Sea port of Karasu.
According to relevant procedures, the ship, after arrival in Türkiye, will be inspected by the Joint Coordination Center before passing through Istanbul's Bosphorus Strait and continues its voyage to Ireland.
