The Eastern Theater Command of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) continued its actual-combat joint exercises and training in the northern, southwestern and eastern waters and airspace around China's Taiwan Island as planned on August 6.

Under the joint combat system of the Eastern Theater Command, the PLA dispatched warships, fighter jets and shore-based missile launchers to conduct the exercises, focusing on key training sessions including sea target assaults and strikes on ground targets.
