Power generation unit 7 of southwest China's Baihetan Hydropower Station went into operation on August 5 after passing a 72-hour test run. Up to now, the total installed capacity of the units in the station has reached 10 million kilowatts and delivered more than 34.5 billion kWh of clean power. The main construction project started in July 2017, and the first two generating units started operation in July 2021. Once fully operational, the hydropower station will generate an annual average of more than 62.4 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity.
