U.S. President Joe Biden tested negative for COVID-19 for a second consecutive day, and will "safely return to public engagement and presidential travel," his physician Kevin O'Connor said in a statement on Sunday.

The president had traveled to his vacation home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, on Sunday morning after his negative test.

"I'm feeling great," Biden, 79, told reporters outside the White House upon departure.

Biden will go ahead with a planned trip to Kentucky on Monday and participate in bill signings at the White House next week.
