The Chinese mainland recorded 390 confirmed COVID-19 cases on Saturday, with 337 attributed to local transmissions and 53 from overseas, data from the National Health Commission showed on Sunday.

A total of 478 asymptomatic cases were also recorded on Saturday, and 5,041 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.  

The cumulative number of confirmed cases on the Chinese mainland is 230,886, with the death toll from COVID-19 standing at 5,226.  

The latest tally of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan region is as follows:  

Hong Kong: 360,087 (68,847 recoveries, 9,535 deaths)  

Macao: 791 (777 recoveries, six deaths)  

Taiwan: 4,716,819 (13,742 recoveries, 9,187 deaths)
