The Zhongshan Road Historical and Cultural Block in Quanzhou City, east China's Fujian Province, runs south-north through the whole city. The road was built in the 1920s and 1930s. Many overhanging buildings along its route represent the essence of Southeast Asian-style architecture. It is one of two well-preserved commercial streets with overhanging buildings in China.
