One cannot ignore a large number of cafes when visiting Shanghai. The city hosts nearly 8,000 coffee shops, the most in the world.

Just over the Shanghai Coffee Culture Week which started on August 4, the city has opened a so-called "global coffee harbor," where dozens of coffee bean makers, coffee brands and coffee machine makers set up their permanent booths to provide a one-stop coffee service platform.

"The establishment of the harbor can allow downstream and upstream companies to collaborate. Traders who are looking for coffee beans, coffee drinks or machines can also find many choices here," said Zhu Jing, deputy general manager of Hongqiao Import Commodity Exhibition. Zhu is also in charge of the global coffee harbor.
