Expert: U.S. chip alliance efforts may come a cropper as key players undecided

The U.S. efforts to bring South Korea into a proposed semiconductor alliance against China may not get the desired results, says a leading tech industry expert. Andy Mok, a fellow at the Center for China and Globalization told CGTN that South Korea will not be keen to be a part of the U.S.-led alliance as it realizes the advantages of being on friendly terms with China. According to Mok, most of the economically successful countries don't pick sides, especially in areas like semiconductors.
