The first batch of tourists stranded by a sudden COVID-19 cluster outbreak in Sanya, a coastal resort city in south China's Hainan Province, boarded a flight back home on August 9. The first 125 tourists allowed to leave lined up in their hotel lobby in Haitang Bay, to have their health codes and negative nucleic acid reports checked before boarding a bus to Sanya Phoenix International Airport.
